This is the movie which confirmed River's friendship with Martha Plimpton, and developed it into more. River also became
close with Harrison Ford, saying that he was very down-to-earth, he would later act as a younger version of Ford in Indiana
Jones and the Last Crusade.
The director orginally turned down River Phoenix three times before selecting him as Charlie Fox, believing him to be
too old and wishing to go with River's Stand By Me co-star Wil Wheaton.
