Samantha Mathis was the last girlfriend River Phoenix ever had. Her first acting job was in a commercial for baby products
which also starred her mother Bibi Besch. When Samantha was three years old, her parents divorced and she seemed on the road
to Hollywood. Her first feature film was in 1990's 'Pump Up The Volume', a movie which also starred her then boyfriend Christian
Slater. She can speak fluent German, is a vegeterian and is a friend of Sandra Bullock.
